The special voting process in Katima Mulilo has been reported to be a success so far, with a high turnout as soon as the venue opened its doors.

At the W.K. Rover Hall at Keetmanshoop in the ||Kharas Region, law enforcement members, including police, correctional service, and defence force officers, queued up as early as six o'clock. 

7,199 eligible voters cast their votes locally in the special voting process for the Presidential and National Assembly Elections by 15:00, while 586 Namibians voted at foreign missions.

The Chairperson of the Electoral Commission of Namibia, Elsie Nghikembua, described this as a good turnout. 

The Electoral Commission of Namibia's Chairperson, Elsie Nghikembua, said she is satisfied with the smooth and efficient progress of the special voting process, with a strong turnout among the security cluster and Namibians voting abroad. 

The Namibian Broadcasting Corporation (nbc) and South Africa's communications network service provider, Sentech, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at regional collaboration on 5G broadband advancements and its applications in broadcasting.
