The 12th Annual Model United Nations Namibia Conference, a two-day academic event, is advancing gender equality and empowering women through engaging high school learners in real-world global issues.

The Electoral Commission of Namibia (ECN) will grant an opportunity to registered voters who have lost or damaged their voter cards to apply for duplicate cards between 18 and 26 November.

This will be done countrywide at polling stations.

The national minimum wage for all Namibian workers has increased to N$18 per hour. 

The Minister of Labour, Industrial Relations, and Employment Creation, Uutoni Nujoma, announced in a statement that the new national minimum wage will be effective from 1 January next year.

Intra-African trade remains notably low, constituting only about 16 percent of the continent's total trade, which is significantly less than 40 percent in Asia and 60 percent in Europe.
