The City of Windhoek has notified residents to get ready for possible flash floods as the rainy season starts.

The City warns residents that Windhoek's location and weather make it likely to have flash floods, which are a common natural disaster in Namibia during this time.

Swapo Party Secretary General Sofia Shaningwa has issued a formal response to two court cases filed by the Independent Patriots for Change seeking to nullify the results of Namibia's Presidential and National Assembly Elections held in late November 2024.

The Windhoek High Court will deliver its judgement in a case brought by Swapo Central Committee member Charles Mubita against party member Reinhold Shipwiikineni on the 28th of January.
