The southern settlement of Grünau is setting its sights on achieving village status this year, 2025.

Erongo Governor Neville Andre and Swakopmund Mayor Blasius Goraseb have expressed satisfaction with the positive impact of visitors in the region.

They say the influx of tourists significantly boosted the local tourism sector and the overall economy. 

A Senior Immigration Officer at the Ruacana Border Post, David Haingura is calling on the public to visit the border post for educational and awareness purposes related to immigration services. 

The Ruacana Border Post is located between Namibia and Angola and is operational from 08:00 to 18:00.

The Namibian Agronomic Board (NAB) has reminded commercial and surplus producers to apply for the grain seeds and fertilisers subsidy for the 2024/2025 planting season.

The subsidy programme ends on February 15.
