The Popular Democratic Movement (PDM) is set to prioritise water provision in rural areas, road upgrades, modernisation of the agricultural sector, as well as addressing malnutrition in the Omaheke Region.

Activist and |Khomani Axab, Shaun Gariseb, led a group of |Khomanin people to the city's Central Business District demanding the government's action over ancestral land rights—an issue that has frustrated the community for 14 years.

Land allocation countrywide will be distributed through three proposed models: high, moderate, and low economic values. 

These models or criteria are contained in the National Resettlement Policy of 2023 under review.

Ohorongo Cement employee Jakobus Areseb has been elected as the President of the Mining, Metal, Maritime, and Construction Union (MMMCU) at Walvis Bay.

The union, which is affiliated with the Namibia National Labour Organisation (NANLO), held its first elective congress since its inception 10 years ago. 

The community of Epukiro has over the years faced numerous challenges, such as water shortages and poor grazing land due to persistent drought and poisonous plants.
