Namibian Police delegation attends 92nd INTERPOL General Assembly

The Inspector General of the Namibian Police, Joseph Shikongo, has left for Scotland, where he leads a Namibian delegation to participate in the 92nd INTERPOL General Assembly.

The Assembly will start on Monday in Glasgow.

Windhoek-Okahandja dual carriageway re-classified

The Windhoek-Okahandja dual carriageway has been re-classified and upgraded from B1 to A1 road as per the road classification standards.

President Nangolo Mbumba inaugurated the dual carriageway, the only A-rated road in Namibia, at the Gross Barmen Interchange. 

Cabinet recommends gradual fishing quota cuts, approves human rights review

The Ministry of Fisheries and Marine Resources has been advised to consider a gradual reduction of fishing quota allocations over the coming years to align with scientists' recommendations. 

This was one of the outcomes of the 19th Cabinet decisions announced on Thursday.
