The Governor of the Hardap Region held a meeting with the Rehoboth Baster community in which the discussion centred around the identity of the community, their traditional authority, and their ancestral land.

Speaker of the National Assembly Peter Katjavivi will lead a delegation of parliamentarians to the 149th Inter-Parliamentary Union Assembly in Geneva, Switzerland, this month. 

This is the last event Professor Katjavivi will attend in his capacity as Speaker of the National Assembly.

The Endangered Language Association of Namibia consulted with individuals whose languages are endangered, particularly members of indigenous minorities. 

Police Inspector General, Lieutenant General Joseph Shikongo, is satisfied with the progress made by the contractors that are building the N$20 million police station on the outskirts of Swakopmund's DRC informal settlement.
