Zambia has recorded the first case of MPOX from a Tanzanian national in Chitambo district, Central Province.

Health Minister Elijah Muchima said a 32-year-old man was diagnosed with the viral disease after presenting symptoms at Mukando Health Post.

Health workers from the Rundu Intermediate Hospital, accompanied by students from the health sector, marched through Rundu's CBD in commemoration of World Mental Health Day. 

The Electoral Commission of Namibia (ECN) has urged potential presidential candidates and members of the National Assembly to acquaint themselves with the prerequisites for a position on November’s ballot, with registration closing in five days.

The bail application for one of the Fishrot accused, Tamson Hatuikulipi, is expected to continue in the High Court on Monday.

This is Hatuikulipi's third bid for bail, which he launched in February this year, counting on supposed new facts. 

A middle-aged man committed suicide this afternoon in the Tobias Hainyeko Constituency in Ombili.

The man allegedly came to Windhoek from the Oshikoto Region for a job interview and was living with a friend.
