Members of the Mine Workers Union of Namibia (MUN) Northern Region branch have been cautioned to steer clear of tribalism and internal conflicts. This warning was issued by the union's Acting Vice President, Mbidhi Shavuka, during the 13th Northern Regional Biennial Conference held in Tsumeb. 

Churches have been encouraged to actively promote peace, foster a sense of belonging, and engage young people in community development efforts. 

This call was made by Pastor Lopang Olobilwe of St. Faith Healing Church, located in Corridor 13, Omaheke.

The National Empowerment Fighting Corruption (NEFC) Party has called on the Namibian government to bring back religious and moral education in schools to restore good moral values.

The party, which is about five years old, is on a mission to fight corruption, poverty, and inequalities, among others.

Former-striking fishermen, also known as Okapare fishermen, expressed disappointment with the Government Employment Redress Programme.

Launched in 2020, the programme is an agreement by the Ministries of Fisheries and Labour as well as fishing companies to employ jobless fishermen in exchange for quotas.
