Vice President Lucia Witbooi has reaffirmed government support for the green hydrogen sector.

Witbooi said this during her brief visit to the Hyphen Energy office at Lüderitz.

The Minister of International Relations and Trade, Selma Ashipala-Musavyi, commended the government for its collaboration with Angola to erect a memorial shrine in that country in remembrance of those who died in the Cassinga massacre.

Members of Parliament from various parties have urged Namibians to educate the youth about the events leading up to and on the fateful day of the Cassinga attack, to honour those who perished and sacrificed their lives for the country's freedom.

Namibia has recorded an improvement in its standing on the global press freedom index, reaffirming its position as one of Africa's leading voices for media freedom and democratic expression.

President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah paid tribute to late businessman and liberation veteran Eliaser Haimbili during his memorial at Epoli Village, Ohangwena.
