Six months after the death of President Hage Geingob, who would have celebrated his 83rd birthday today, Namibians gathered at Heroes' Acre for a remembrance ceremony.
 
Dr. Geingob, Namibia's third president, died on February 4th this year.

Today marks six months since the passing of President Hage Geingob and would have been his 83rd birthday.

In honour of his memory, a Remembrance Ceremony will be held at Heroes' Acre, officiated by President Nangolo Mbumba.

Two young activists, Armando Pieters and Shonena Nathanael, stormed into the chambers of the City of Windhoek on Wednesday to express their mounting frustrations over what they call "unresolved grievances."

Windhoek Mayor Queen Kamati has highlighted several key initiatives driving the city's progress, such as a voluntary house exchange programme that allows homeowners to trade their historic houses for newly built ones.

This is part of the city's affordable housing project. 

The Hardap Regional Science Fair took place under the theme "Sustainability through Innovation and Technology."

A senior education officer from the region, Petrus Auala, says more science teachers are needed due to the many innovation projects coming up in the region.
