The Public Service Commission (PSC) should be positioned in such a way that it conforms to the provisions of the Constitution, is independent, and acts impartially in advising the government on human resources and public administration.

The late Reverend Gert Johannes Kooper from the African Methodist Episcopal (AME) Church was buried at Mariental, Hardap Region, over the weekend.

Reverend Kooper died on July 13th, at the age of 61.

The Ministry of Home Affairs, Immigration, Safety, and Security has so far received about 90,000 identification document (ID) applications countrywide during the ongoing mass registration for national documents campaign. 

The Electoral Commission of Namibia (ECN) is optimistic about reaching the 1.6 million target for registered voters in the last week of the exercise. The General Registration of Voters ends on Thursday, August 1.

Namibians who have not yet registered to vote in the November 27 Presidential and National Assembly Elections have only three more days to do so.
