The annual World Ocean Day activities, which are slated for June 8, began with a procession in Henties Bay.

The joint march by Henties Bay Law Enforcement & Traffic, schoolchildren, and marine students from the UNAM Sam Nujoma Campus resumed from the Sport Field to the Henties Bay Tourism Centre.

Some community members from the Ohangwena Region have accused the Electoral Commission of Namibia and ECN officials of nepotism and favouritism.

The Landless People's Movement, or LPM, has been rocked by the resignation of two senior leaders.

The Deputy Leader of LPM, Henny Seibeb, and Operative Secretary Edson Isaak tendered resignation letters dated June 4th. 

They have also resigned as LPM Members of Parliament with immediate effect.
