President Nangolo Mbumba has declared a State of Emergency over the persistent drought affecting all regions of Namibia.

The State of Emergency has been declared as of May 22 under Article 26(1) of the Namibian Constitution as well as the Disaster Risk Management Act.

In an effort to teach learners the importance of saving and entrepreneurship, the Minkys True Care Foundation, based at Keetmanshoop, conducted its inaugural 'Entrepreneurship and Fun Day'.

The event was attended by hundreds of learners, their parents, and guidance officials from the ||Kharas Region.

The founder of Hiitambo Virtual Academy, a non-profit organisation, Mbunga Mbueza, is breaking new ground, exposing famers in the predominantly livestock farming community of Okakarara to poultry and horticulture.

The target populations are resettled and communal farmers.

Omburo Fishing Enterprises has reached out to small and medium enterprises at Otjinene with equipment that will assist them in their production.

The donated items include sewing machines, bending machines, building materials, and laptops.

Namwater donates textbooks and stationery to 10 schools in the Kavango West Region.

The donation is worth over N$667,000.
