The Malaysian High Commission in Namibia held a 'fruits and food' promotional event in Windhoek.

The event brought together more than 150 guests, from retailers to the media, diplomats, government officials, and students, who came to taste and try Malaysian food, including fruit and other delicacies.

There is a need for a fully-fledged NATIS office at Okongo in the Ohangwena Region to allow people access to services close to them.

This was highlighted by the Okongo Village Council Chief Executive Officer during a meeting with the Deputy Minister of Works and Transport, Veikko Nekundi.

Land degradation is a growing problem in dryland, as it generally indicates a temporary or permanent decline in the productive capacity of the land.

The Kavango East Education Directorate and stakeholders are requesting for a special school to be established in the region. 

The request was made during a consultation meeting with the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Human Resources and Community Development at Rundu.

Four schools in Kavango East's Mukwe Circuit have temporarily suspended classes due to lions roaming the area. 

Classes have been suspended for today and tomorrow; however, teachers and support staff members remain on duty.
