Major progress is taking shape in setting up the Otjiwarongo Biomass Power Plant.

In a recent judgement, the Namibian Supreme Court upheld the Communications Regulatory Authority of Namibia (CRAN) to impose regulatory levies on telecommunication service providers. 

Since January of this year, residents of Brendan Kangongolo Simbwaye Village in Malindi, Zambezi Region, have faced challenges in accessing potable water. 

The difficulties began following the collapse of a 10,000-litre water tank that served the community.

The Minister of Health and Social Services, Dr. Kalumbi Shangula, says service delivery in the Kavango East health directorate is set to improve with the allocation of more than N$217 million from the national budget. 

Dordabis Village is partly owned by the government, with the rest owned privately. 

The population of the village, which is around 3,000 people, is cramped on this land.
