Namibia joined the rest of the Commonwealth family in celebrating Commonwealth Day.

The event took place in front of the steps of the Parliament Gardens.

Namibia is hosting the inaugural Spatial Monitoring and Reporting Tool (SMART) congress.

Namibia, with a clear focus on promoting biodiversity conservation and sustainable utilisation of resources, adopted the SMART approach in all its protected areas to enhance monitoring in those areas.

The Kamikaze Inline Hockey team hosted the Build It Iron Man tournament over the weekend at the DTS Sports Field in Windhoek, with more than 40 teams participating in the tournament.

On Saturday morning, the Namibian Football Association's First Division games were played at the DTS Sports Field in Windhoek. Mariental Football Club, who traveled from the Hardap Region in the South, faced the Windhoek-based team, Ramblers.

The Eros Bowling Club has about 25 members who compete in the national league, which also features teams from Windhoek, Swakopmund, Tsumeb, and Walvis Bay.

The national league is made up of six teams, three in Windhoek, one each in Swakopmund and Walvis, and one in Tsumeb.
