Members of Parliament in the National Council are calling for swift endorsement of both the High Court Amendment Bill and the Magistrates Court Amendment Bill.

President Hage Geingob is described by many as the people's president.

He was a very sociable person and did not shy away from visiting popular hangout spots to meet and speak to the youth like he did on many occasions.

The Minister of Environment, Forestry, and Tourism has described the late President Hage Geingob as a person you could learn from every day, especially on administration matters.

Shifeta says he vividly recalls when he met the late President Geingob in 1989 at a social function in Windhoek. 

The Swapo Party Secretary General, Sophia Shaningwa, paid tribute to the late party leader, Dr. Hage Geingob, and signed the book of condolence at the residence of the family.

Shaningwa also expressed condolences to the widow, Monica Geingos.

Former UN Economic Commission for Africa Executive Director, Dr. Carlos Lopes, who had a close relationship with the late President Hage Geingob, was in Namibia today to personally express his condolences to the widow Monica Geingos and her family.
