Prime Minister Elijah Ngurare has called for unity and calm within the National Youth Council following a disrupted General Assembly over the weekend.

The Communications Regulatory Authority of Namibia (CRAN) has dismissed an appeal by Starlink Internet Services Namibia against an earlier rejection of its licence application.

Development partners have inaugurated a N$394 million Sekelduim substation east of Swakopmund.

This substation is expected to strengthen power supply across the Erongo Region.

Constructed by Nampower, the Sekelduin Substation is supported by Erongo RED and other development partners.

This was done when the President named a tree "Umoja", meaning "unity" in Swahili, at the handover of a plot for Namibia's embassy at Magufuli City in the Dodoma Region of Tanzania.

The ||Kharas Region Police have managed to successfully evacuate ninety-six hikers from the Fish River Canyon.

The hikers, most of them South African citizens, were trapped by rising water levels in the canyon due to heavy downpours in the area.
