The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, Water and Land Reform has rolled out interventions to assist flood-affected farmers in the Zambezi Region.

The ministry has stepped in by removing the produce of farmers whose fields are submerged by water.

Since its founding 71 years ago, the Pionier Boys' School in Windhoek has evolved from a small special-needs institution into a centre for both academic and vocational training for boys with learning difficulties in Namibia.

The Director General of the Namibian Broadcasting Corporation (NBC), Menesia Muinjo, said the national broadcaster is stepping up efforts to support cybersecurity awareness as digital threats continue to grow.

The Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries, Water and Land Reform, Inge Zaamwani said the budget allocated to the ministry will be used to  boost food production and ensure fair distribution of land.

The ministry has been allocated about N$1,8 billion.

MPs have questioned the Ministry of Environment, Forestry and Tourism's capacity to tackle poaching, its effectiveness in dealing with wildfires and its approach to human-wildlife coexistence.

This was raised during the debate of the budget allocation for the ministry of about N$736 million dolars.
