The Botswana government has approached authorities in Namibia through the Namibian Embassy in Gaborone with a view to erect a monument in honor of Namibia's founding leaders.
 

The ||Kharas Education Director, Nicolaas Eiman, says it is all systems go when the new academic year starts on Monday.

 Eiman told NBC News that both urban and rural schools are ready for the 2026 academic year despite some challenges.

Forty-six Zambian and 36 Namibian nationals have been arrested on Wednesday in Katima Mulilo's Cowboy location for smuggling timber into the country.

 The Electoral Commission of Namibia has dismissed claims that election officials contracted for the 2025 Regional and Local Authority Elections were underpaid.

 In a statement issued, the elections regulator said all payments were processed in line with signed contracts and verified attendance records.
