Stakeholders in the Erongo Region have welcomed the Ministry of Environment, Forestry and Tourism's (MEFT) efforts to consult widely on the review of the National Tourism Policy.

The Chief Tourism Officer at MEFT, Frans Helao, explained that the review of the policy is aimed at expanding its relevance.

Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly Phillipus Katamelo says no law or parliamentary rule can fully regulate the moral conduct of members.

Katamelo emphasised that ethical behaviour ultimately depends on the consciences of individual lawmakers.

The National Youth Council (NYC) has dismissed media reports suggesting that its former Acting Director, Mzingisi Gqwede, resigned due to disrespectful behaviour by the council's top leadership.

In its statement, the NYC says claims published in a local newspaper were inaccurate and misleading.
