The Minister of Urban and Rural Development, James Sankwasa, has called for a renewed commitment to ethical leadership as a cornerstone for Africa's economic transformation.

A lack of well-equipped ambulances in the Kavango East Region compromises timely medical assistance to patients in remote areas. 

This was shared by the Chief Medical Officer at the Rundu Intermediate Hospital, Dr. Medson Chibwe, with members of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Health.

Senior citizens whose government social grant is their only source of income continue to bear the burden of caring for family members. 

However, the household of Kapango Kapango, a resident of Fumbe Village in the Kavango East Region, is worse off than many others and is in a sorry state.

The Rundu Intermediate Hospital is still faced with overcrowding, leading to congested corridors and long waiting times, compromising service delivery.

The hospital caters for patients from the Kavango East, Kavango West, and Zambezi regions, as well as neighbouring Angola.

The leader of a faction of the Ovaherero Traditional Authority, Hoze Riruako, said that the Ozombuzovindimba Heritage Site remains a symbolic historical area for many Ovaherero people.

Dr. Riruako made this remark during the annual commemoration of Ozombuzovindimba Day in the Otjinene Constituency.
