The Anglican Diocese of Namibia is celebrating 100 years since its establishment by missionaries in 1924 at Odibo in the Ohangwena Region.

The week-long centenary celebration is held under the theme "Commemorating Achievements and Visualising the Future".

During a two-day visit to the Zambezi Region, U.S. Chargé d’Affaires in Namibia Brandon Hudspeth explored the impact of the U.S. government-supported initiatives over the past 20 years.

The National Planning Commission (NPC) convened its first meeting with newly appointed commissioners, who will guide the government on national development and economic planning. 

Director General Kaire Mbuende addressed the commissioners, who began their three-year term on the 1st of August.

The Independent Patriots for Change (IPC) has spoken out against the removal of the Katima Mulilo Town Council, saying the decision by the minister goes against the Constitution.

Deputy Judge President Hannelie Prinsloo will deliver her judgement on the matter in which some of the Fishrot accused are seeking to nullify all decisions taken by former trial judge Moses Chinhengo.
