Global diamond giant De Beers and Namibia are strengthening their diamond partnership amid industry challenges.

The safety and security sector has received the second largest allocation, amounting to N$17 billion, which accounts for 19,5% of the total budget of N$106 billion.

The administrative sector, on the other hand, has also received N$6,1 billion for the 2026/2027 financial year.

During the tabling of the national budget for the 2026/2027 fiscal year, Minister of Finance Ericah Shafudah revealed that the social sector remains the largest area of government expenditure.
