Inhabitants of Kavango East and West regions say the appointment of Dr Elijah Ngurare as Prime Minister brings hope and inspiration to many. The town's inhabitants celebrated his appointment at Rundu.

The Supreme Court has ruled in favour of the Windhoek Municipal Council in a legal dispute with Lady Pohamba Private Hospital over the operation of a private medical waste treatment plant. 

The ruling reverses a 2022 decision from the High Court that favoured the hospital.

Senior citizens were the dominant demographic at the start of voting in the Kamanjab Constituency by-elections today.
