The coach of the Kavango East Netball team that took first place at the 2025 Nedbank Namibian Newspaper Cup says the girls persevered despite a number of challenges.

The Minister of Gender Equality and Child Welfare, Emma Kantema, said her ministry will continue to train Early Childhood Development (ECD) daycarers to raise awareness of violence against children in their classrooms.
