The Minister of Urban and Rural Development, James Sankwasa, said he was disappointed to learn when he took over the ministry that the Masokotwani project remained incomplete because of financial mismanagement by the Zambezi Regional Council.

It has been 14 years, and the Masokotwani Development Centre in Katima Mulilo is still incomplete due to underfunding.

Servicewomen at the Jonas Shoongeleni Ndeimana Barracks of Otjiwarongo's Military Base donated food and clothing items to children with malnutrition at the Otjiwarongo State Hospital. 

The recent Nedbank Namibian Newspaper Cup, held in Outjo, left a lasting positive mark on the town's economy and infrastructure—offering both residents and businesses a welcome boost and bringing a wave of positive change to the town, which played host to netball and football teams from 14 regions.

President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah has appealed to Namibians to reward mothers with protection, love and compassion. 

The President made the appeal against the backdrop of the observance of Mother’s Day on May 11th.
