The Road Contractor Company (RCC) has begun digging drainage lines in Ndonga Linena, Kavango East Region, to address flooding in homesteads caused by the Ndonga Linena Green Scheme's irrigation system.

This follows Prime Minister Elijah Ngurare's urgent call for action.

By Wednesday, the 17th edition of the Okakarara Trade Fair, which began on Monday, had attracted over 3,000 visitors.

Prime Minister Dr. Elijah Ngurare paid a visit to the Neudam Unam Campus, under the Faculty of Agriculture, Engineering, and Natural Sciences.

The purpose of the visit was to assess how the school operates and try to find solutions to some of the challenges it faces.

The Directorate of Water Supply within the Ministry of Agriculture, Water, and Land Reform plans to drill a hundred more boreholes across the country in this financial year.

The Namibian government will soon rehabilitate eight boreholes at Duineveld Settlement in the Hardap Region.

The Director of Water Supply and Sanitation, Dr. Elijah Ngurare, says the community of Duineveld is supplied with water from a borehole that is situated on private land.
