The Deputy Country Manager of Rhino Resources Namibia has called for youth involvement in the oil and gas sector to be encouraged without fostering a sense of entitlement from the industry.

Ndakolo Haiduwa was speaking during a master class at the Namibia Oil and Gas Conference in Windhoek.

Vice President Lucia Witbooi is calling on young people from indigenous communities to take advantage of the newly launched National Youth Fund.

She made the appeal while speaking in Tsumeb during the celebration of the International Day of the World's Indigenous Peoples.

Ballotti urges completion of OVTC hotel school

The Deputy Minister of Education, Innovation, Youth, Sports, Arts, and Culture, Dino Ballotti, has said that it is time for the Okakarara Vocational Training Centre (OVTC) to finalise the hotel school.

Ballotti made the remarks at the opening of OVTC's Innovation and Entrepreneurship Week.
