Agribank has announced a new Arrears Relief Rollout Programme aimed at assisting farmers who struggle with loan repayments.

Mortgages make up the largest portion of loans in the banking sector, according to a study presented at the collaborative seminar hosted by the Bank of Namibia and the University of Namibia.

Agribank has extended N$22.8 million to farmers in the northern regions in this current financial year.

Of this amount, N$6.9 million is allocated to the Oshana Region.
