China's Ambassador to Namibia Zhao Weiping has outlined Beijing's latest political, economic, and diplomatic agenda, covering outcomes of the Communist Party's recent plenary session.
It also includes new commitments on women's development and China's evolving role in global governance.
Chinese Ambassador to Namibia Zhao Weiping said that Chinese investments would never threaten Namibia's sovereignty or create dependency.
He said such concerns are misplaced, stating that China's cooperation with Namibia is based on mutual respect and equality.
President Nangolo Mbumba expects an organised programme from the Namibian delegation attending the 9th FOCAC summit, scheduled to start this week.
Dr. Mbumba said this as he arrived in Beijing on Monday evening.
The President of the China University of Geosciences, Beijing Professor Sun Youhong, met with President Nangolo Mbumba to brief him on the fields of study offered by the university.
Sixty journalists from 50 countries across the world are meeting in China for a four-month training programmme.
They are invited by China's Public Diplomacy Association under the framework of the China International Press Communication Center.
