Namibia's senior women's cricket side sets its sights on their upcoming tour to Uganda.

Construction work on the new Cricket Stadium, to be known as the Namibia Cricket Ground, is progressing well. The new cricket stadium will be located at the corner of Netball and Lichtensteinstrasse, next to the Dr. Hage Geingob Rugby Stadium. 

The captain of the Richelieu Eagles, Gerhard Erasmus, said the team representing Namibia at the ICC Men's T20 Cricket World Cup is well-balanced and raring to hit the ground running.

Johan Muller, the CEO of Cricket Namibia, said that it is pleasing to see how the sport has been growing over the last three years.

The Chief Executive Officer of Cricket Namibia says they are proud of the work Coach Pierre de Bruyn has done with the Richelieu Eagles since he took over the reins over the national team.

The Richelieu Eagles started off their ICC Men's T20 World Cup Africa Qualifier with a seven wickets win against Zimbabwe.

Namibia won the toss and sent Zimbabwe in to bat first in their opening match of the tournament.

The Capricorn Eagles are gearing up for the 2023 ICC Women's T20 World Cup Africa Qualifier, which will be held in Uganda in December. This tournament serves as a qualification process for the 2024 ICC Women's T20 World Cup.
