Team Namibia, which is set to represent the country at the WorldSkills Competition in Shanghai, China, has urged young Namibians to consider pursuing careers in technical and vocational education and training (TVET).

They say that with discipline and determination, one cannot go wrong.

Namibia's athletics team coach, Zidane Gawaseb, said the country's athletes are ready to compete at the Commonwealth Games scheduled for next month.

The selected athletes have shown their potential on the continental stage and are ready to represent Namibia at the competition, according to him.

March is Namibia's independence month, a month to celebrate and take stock of what has transpired since the country's freedom, be it politically or economically.
