To acknowledge the contributions of women in agriculture, various women farmers from the Kavango West Region gathered in Nkurenkuru in celebration of International Women's Day. 

The Kavango East and Kavango West farmers' unions have called for speedy implementation of the 11th European Development Fund Livestock Support Project in the northern communal areas.
