Clement Kaukuetu, the former Secretary General of the SWANU of Namibia party, has declined the position of Deputy President after he lost the presidency to Charles Katjivirue.

Swanu of Namibia has declared its readiness for the upcoming elections despite internal conflicts. 

The Central Committee meeting of a faction of SWANU, led by Evilastus Kaaronda, will go ahead as planned this weekend, despite opposition from the other camp.

Kaaronda was elected as the party's president at a Central Committee meeting and national congress last year.
