Cedric Willemse granted N$200,000 bail

Magistrate Olga Muharukua has granted bail of N$200,000 to Cedric Willemse, one of the accused in the alleged multi-million-dollar NAMCOR scandal.

Willemse has also been ordered to report to the investigating officer daily and not to leave the district of Windhoek.

Paul Biya declared winner in Cameroon’s election

Cameroon's Constitutional Council has declared 92-year-old President Paul Biya the winner of the just-concluded presidential election, granting him an eighth consecutive term in office. 

Biya secured 53.66% of the vote, defeating his main challenger, Issa Tchiroma Bakary, who received 35.19%.
