The husband of Tanzanian President Samia Suluhu Hassan, Hafidh Ameir Hassan, was buried in Zanzibar's Kizimkazi on Monday, just hours after his death at a hospital on the island.

Hassan's burial was according to Islamic rites, and mourners included senior government, political and religious figures.

Former deputy mayor of Rundu, Toini Hausiku, was buried at the Mbunza Royal Cemetery at Kapako in the Kavango West Region over the weekend. 

Hausiku, who was also the widow of liberation struggle icon Marco Hausiku, died on the 19th of July in a Windhoek hospital from cancer.
