NamPower's Gerus Substation is set to regain its full capacity with the return of a major 400-kilovolt transformer.

The Southern Regional Electricity Distributor (SORED), which will be responsible for electricity supply distribution in the ||Kharas and Hardap regions, is set to become fully operational in March this year. 

NamPower has reiterated its commitment to ensuring the country's electricity supply security by adopting a least-cost supply mix and boosting local generation capacity. 

Residents of Aus Settlement in the ||Kharas Region are frustrated with a malfunctioning electricity vending machine that often leaves them without power.

The residents stated that the vending machine has been out of service for about six months.
