The Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries, Water and Land Reform has called on development partners to align their financial and technical support with Namibia's strategy for the transformation of the agri-food sector.

The government has emphasised that it recognises the importance of engaging the legislature in the implementation of national development plans and programmes.

President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah stressed this during a consultative meeting with the leadership of the All People's Party, APP, at State House.

The Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries, Water and Land Reform said his office's work will be completed once every farmer is considered a commercial farmer.
