Learning at Shalom Primary School in Otavi, Otjozondjupa Region, came to a halt on Monday after concerned parents kept their children at home in protest over the school’s severely deteriorated toilet facilities.
Some parents with children attending Gabriel Muhuli Combined School at Sambyu, Kavango East Region, say they will keep their children away from school because the school environment is dangerous.
The children did not attend school on Monday and Tuesday.
Parents at Alufea Sampofu Combined School in the Katima Circuit locked the school gates on Wednesday morning, demanding the removal of three teachers accused of absenteeism, misconduct, and unprofessional behaviour.
