The Electoral Commission of Namibia's Oshana Regional Office has been a busy place this week, as teams finalise their logistical preparations before voters head to the polls next Wednesday, the 26th of November.

Kunene regional electoral officer Mike Nganjone says the region is on track to host the upcoming elections, with all sensitive and non sensitive voting materials delivered in Khorixas and other constituencies in Kunene South.

The materials arrived sealed and were escorted by the Namibian Police.

The Regional Electoral Officer for Oshikoto, Ester Hipangelwa, says preparations for the November Regional Councils and Local Authorities Elections are progressing smoothly and are firmly on track.

Responding to concerns raised by representatives of churches and civil society organisations about the state of readiness of the Regional Councils and Local Authorities elections in November, the Electoral Commission of Namibia (ECN) said it is well on track with the preparations.
