Sustainable harvesting of devil's claw is providing an economic boost to Tsumkwe's Den/'ui Village within the Nyae Nyae conservancy.

Devil's claw is a medicinal plant native to the Kalahari Desert, which is widely used in herbal supplements to help ease joint pain, back pain, and symptoms of arthritis

Eight unemployed youth have received media training through the Nyae Nyae Media Club in Tsumkwe.

The programme initially started with 15 young people in September 2022.

The Nyae Nyae Development Foundation's horticulture project has launched its first training session of the year at Den/ui in Tsumkwe.

Thirty-two community members from villages across the Nyae Nyae Conservancy attended the workshop to enhance their skills in crop production and seedling care.
