President Hage Geingob pays tribute to late Aili Venonya

President Hage Geingob has paid tribute to the late Councillor of Moses ||Garoeb Constituency, Aili Venonya, saying the SWAPO Party and Namibia have lost a great leader who served her people diligently.

Venonya died on Sunday, aged 59, following a battle with cancer.

Viongeka Uazohini Tjisuta buried

One of Namibia's liberation icons, the late Viongeka Uazohini Tjisuta, was buried near Ongongo Village in the Opuwo Rural Constituency, Kunene Region.  

Tjisuta died aged 74.

Namibia, EU sign MoU

Namibia and the European Union (EU) will sign a Memorandum of Understanding to establish a partnership on sustainable raw material value chains and renewable hydrogen.

This is in line with Namibia's development plans such as NDPs and the Harambee Prosperity Plan.

Namibia has reaffirmed its support for the "One China, Two Systems" policy and non-interference in China's domestic affairs.

President Hage Geingob said this in a letter to his Chinese counterpart, Xi Jinping, congratulating him on the 73rd anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China.

Jakaya Kikwete to lead missions to member states
