The Executive Director of Education, Arts, and Culture, Sanet Steenkamp, says that the world has been in a learning crisis since before COVID-19, and Namibia is no exception.

Civil servants have been encouraged to embrace technology and leverage the newly launched "Being a Public Servant in Namibia" Digital Pocket Guide 2.0 to improve service delivery.

Embracing digital technology has been identified as a key tool for improving effective service delivery and social justice. 

Hundreds of public servants gathered in Katima Mulilo to celebrate this year's Africa Public Service Day, held under the theme "The African Continental Free Trade Area will require a fit-for-purpose African public administration to succeed."

The Swapo Party Youth League Secretary, Ephraim Nekongo, has called on public servants to deliver without compromise.

He said it is about time the electorate gets the service they deserve and that political supremacy calls their line ministries and agencies to order.
