The Police in the Erongo Region will take action against learners carrying life-threatening objects at West Side High School in Swakopmund. 

A suspected poacher was shot dead over the past weekend, by a member of the anti-poaching unit. 

According to the police weekend crime report, the three male suspects poached a Rhino at farm Okarakua in the  Windhoek district. 

Police Spokesperson Kauna Shikwambi has confirmed that police are investigating a possible case of GBV after a video of a child who was allegedly beaten with a bottle and sustained cuts on her hand by her guardian surfaced on the net this morning.

Two people were arrested at the Noordoewer extension 2 areas in the ||Karas Region, for possession of alleged illicit drugs and goods worth more than N$56 000.

The municipality of Swakopmund, through their health inspector, confiscated 70 bags containing 50 kilograms of rotten mangos after a truck was pulled over by police officers at the roadblock.

The rotten bags of mangos were transported from Zambia to Walvis Bay.

The police in Kavango West are investigating a stock theft case suspected to involve Meatco officials.

The police are urging the public to report any officers who refuse to take on cases reported to them.

The Freedomland suburb in Windhoek launched its own Neighbourhood Watch, following an increase in the number of criminal activities in the area.

The launch was witnessed by top police brass and the local political leadership.
