Bank Windhoek donated gardening tools to the National Youth Council in the ||Kharas Region to strengthen the youth organisation through the bank's national Empathy Project.

Receiving the donation on behalf of young people in the region, NYC’s Regional Coordinator, Drusilla Emma Abed, thanked the institution for coming to the aid of young people by contributing their part in ensuring food sustainability among the youth.

The gardening tools and equipment will be utilised at the youth horticulture garden housed at the Keetmanshoop Multi-Purpose Youth Resource Centre.

The project is an initiative established in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture, Land and Fisheries.

The donation includes, among others, watering cans, horse pipes, fertilisers, packets of seeds and sets of nets.
