The UN office in the country has described the murders as a national tragedy and a violation of children's rights.

The global body said that every child has the right to grow up in safety and peace.
UN Resident Coordinator Hopolang Phororo stated that these deaths must strengthen the country's resolve to protect all children.
The UN urged the Namibian government to launch urgent, independent, and fair investigations to bring the perpetrators to justice.
It also called for stronger child protection systems and support services, especially in communities.
The UN encouraged governments and communities to work together to raise awareness, support families, and improve training for police, healthcare workers, and the justice system.
Phororo said that violence against children must never be seen as normal.
