President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah has extended well-wishing greetings to the Christian community in Namibia and the world over in observance of Ascension Day. 

The Ascension Day is rooted in the Christian faith’s belief in the Ascension of Jesus Christ into heaven. 

“This day we rejoice in the knowledge that Jesus overcame death and has ascended to His rightful place with the Father in Heaven,“ said Nandi-Ndaitwah, adding, “Now He has sent us the Holy Spirit to dwell within us.” 

She said the Holy Spirit sent to us equally to empower the Christian community to continue building a nation that is rooted in ethical leadership, family values, and uplifting each other.
