The Electoral Commission of Namibia (ECN) officially registered two new political parties and handed over their certificates today.
The People United for Change (PUC), led by Ernestus Axakhoeb, aims to uplift marginalised groups such as the Hai||Hom and the San communities, promoting inclusive political representation across all regions.
The second party, Namibia Progressive Party (NAPPA), was also registered but did not attend the certificate handover.
The ECN now has 25 registered parties and 18 organisations and associations.
ECN has also announced polling stations for the by-elections scheduled to take place on 17 June 2025.
